Getting crops and livestock from the farm or ranch gate to the market place is critical to any operation. That’s why Nebraska Farm Bureau supports efforts to keep viable transportation infrastructures in place. Locally, that also involves having good roads and bridges for trucks and agriculture equipment. Nationally, that process relies on a strong railway and barge system. Sound transportation policies that accommodate and recognize the changing size and scope of modern agriculture machinery and equipment are also critical in the farm to market process.
